Raipur, 03 July. Chhattisgarh government is contemplating filing a case against Sachin Tendulkar’s son ‘Mahendra Singh Dhoni’ for submitting a fake application against a teacher’s vacancy for Atmanand English medium School in Raigad district.

Chhattisgarh government has started recruitment against 63 posts of teachers in Swami Atmanand English medium schools in Raigarh district. The government intends to appoint contractual teachers for several subjects in these schools, an ambitious program by the Bhupesh Baghel government to enhance quality English medium education in the largely tribal state with a laggard education system.

A prankster, however, forced the administration to run for cover by applying for this post in the name of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. His mischief did not stop there, he named cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar as his father in the application. Interestingly, the administration on its part failed to scrutinize the application resulting in shortlisting of imposter Dhoni’s name for the interview. Officials, however, realized the gaffe when the interview list went viral on social media.

Dhoni was reportedly called for an interview on Friday, but he did not turn up, the worried officials then gave a relook to his application and found it to be a fake. His phone was switched off when he was called on the day of the interview. The red-faced administration is now contemplating filing a case against an unidentified person who applied in the name of Dhoni to hide its embarrassment.

The imposter mentioned in his application that he is a resident of Raipur and has studied engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology BIT Durg.
